Hello
Nature has always been my greatest muse, igniting my creativity from a young age! After spending 15 incredible years in France - in the enchanting Alsace and one in the sunny South - I developed a profound appreciation for the stunning contrasts in landscapes that have shaped my vibrant abstract interpretations of colour and texture.
My creative journey has been a thrilling adventure through various careers, but art has always been my heart's true desire! With a B.A. in Design Crafts, I've have been trained in jewellery, pottery, some wood work, and epoxy resin and many other areas as the Degree was very comprehensive.
However, it’s kiln-pressed glass that truly captivates me! I adore its fluidity, the magical way it dances with light, and its unique ability to embody both movement and stillness, glass that is simultaneously strong and delicate.
About My Work
My work explores the deep connection between nature, mental health, and artistic expression. Through the integration of neurographic art, I translate emotional depth into immersive glass pieces that evoke calm and reflection.
I work primarily with kiln-pressed glass, carefully selecting colour palettes informed by my research into neurographic methods. This psychological drawing technique, developed by a Russian scientist, helps individuals form new neural pathways and break free from negative patterns.
By drawing organic, flowing lines without sharp edges, emotions are externalized in a way that encourages healing and transformation. The kiln process itself mirrors this journey - its unpredictability tempered by intentional design choices. I am fascinated by this balance, where unexpected outcomes reveal the beauty of both artistic exploration and personal growth.
I see my glass artistry as a bridge between emotion, nature, and transformation. Through the interplay of light, colour, and form, I aim to create pieces that inspire connection to the natural world while supporting mindfulness and well-being. My practice continues to evolve as I experiment with new techniques, always grounded in the themes of emotional fluidity, healing, and the harmony between control and chance. Ultimately, my goal is to share work that resonates with others, fostering peace, curiosity, and inspiration.
